★ To apply for Bittersweet Enigma, please post an application in this section. If you've been accepted, your rank will change and your name color will change. Your application should include the following:name. Your screenname / nickname; no need to post your actual name.
HTML/CSS. Do you have any knowledge of coding or graphic-making? If you can, it's preferred that you post examples of some sort (can be links).
about you. We want to know something about you. You can write something as small as two words, but we need to know at least one fact.
role play example. This is the part where you're judged most. Please post a 6+ sentence role play example. You can post as many words as you want, but remember, we judge quality over quantity.
★ You are allowed to cuss out of character. However, do not pull the f-bomb every other sentence and don't cuss like crazy. Try to refrain from cussing as much on the c-box; yes, we understand that it isn't very often a five-year-old joins a role play site, but you never know who might be viewing the c-box. If you want to cuss, post a thread in the chat boards or somewhere else.
★ Also refrain from sexual content out of character. Mildly sexual content is allowed, as long as its related to role play only. No offensive sexual content or harassing others. If you are found doing something like this, you will be banned (and if necessary, we'll warn all of our affiliates not to let you join their sites for your behavior). Safety is top priority, and we do not want anyone being hurt physically or emotionally here.
★ It is not required to use ooc or bic. It's obvious that you'll be posting in character on the role play threads and out of character everywhere else; however, if you ever confuse boards, just ask an admin to move your post to the place you want it to be in.
★ Although you aren't role playing, it's still required to use literacy out of character. Capitalization is not required, and we will not say that you can't use chatspeak. In fact, use as much chatspeak as you wish, but don't use it like you're texting. An out of character post (even in the c-box) should at least have correct grammar and punctuation.
★ BE ACTIVE. We want the site to live, and to be honest, inactive members are always very irksome. We will not hesitate to delete you when we deem necessary; we allow excuses, but not consistently. If, for example, you use an excuse every time you've fallen inactive, you should probably just leave - if you're not capable of participating, you shouldn't stay. Inactive members drag role plays down, and we do not want that.
★ If you want to create a forum skin, notify me - Max - only. However, you must show an example of the skin on another forum or with an image. Please know that your skin may not be accepted; do not take it personally if it isn't. Practice makes perfect!
★ The max image width for a personal avatar is 150px; the max height is 300px. The max width for an image/signature is 500px; the max height is 3000px (but don't make an image that is actually 3000px tall!).
❝ I
n character ❞ ★ Literacy is always a must for role play posts. Correct capitalization, punctuation, and grammar is required. You should always do your best on spelling; if you're unsure, check an online dictionary, and if you made a mistake, feel free to go back and edit your post to fix it.
★ The minimum length for a role play post is 200 words. Now that is a tiny minimum, so you should always be up to it. We understand writer's block, but you should never be below that. If you're unsure of word count, you can use the counter in the sidebar or use the word counter in one of your word processing softwares.
★ Cussing and cursing is allowed during role play. You may cuss as much as you'd like, but don't use the extremely bad words during role play as often. Unless your character loves to cuss, then you also shouldn't cuss in every sentence.
★ Sexual content is allowed to an extent. If you are about to have two characters "get busy," please use fade to black (meaning you skip the whole scene completely). Your wolf cannot start out or be impregnated unless she has mated. Forced breeding/rape is allowed. If you're uncomfortable with posting on the forum, you can role play over email as well, as long as both people involved tell an admin first. Your character's pups must have both a father and mother, but you can have your female/male prefer not to tell her/his pups who their father/mother was depending on who is taking care of them.
❝ C
haracters ❞ ★ There is absolutely no character limit. Have as many characters as you'd like - but remember, don't let any of your wolves get dusty! If we find that your wolves are dusty, we'll let you off with a warning, but if nothing is done, we'll tell you to delete the wolf completely. please PM the Top Administrator account. Max shall reply as soon as possible with the code. Remember, you cannot use the code anywhere else but this site unless you have our permission in words!
★ There is a complete explanation of fantasy limits in this area. Please read through it carefully and follow the rules!
★ You may have up to four trinkets unless you buy more from a merchant or from the magic shop. A trinket can be matching (like earrings) or just one single thing. You cannot get a new trinket from nowhere - you have to buy them from a merchant who is selling trinkets or from the magic shop with your gold.
(remember, the humans didn't exist at this time!)
★ Your female can only be impregnated after a fade-to-black scene (read the previous in character rules for more info on that). You cannot have a wolf that starts out pregnant or that just randomly gets pregnant. Yes, you can have one of your own characters impregnate your wolf, but it isn't preferred that you do so (if you do, no need to post a thread. we don't want you role playing with yourself xD). Please tell an administrator if you decide to do this.
★ Remember to ask for permission before creating one of the following wolves: Upper Class wolves, Merchants, Strays, Outcasts, and Bandits. If you don't ask for permission, your character will not be accepted!
★ If you need a character table code template,
★ If you are adopting a character, please know that you must follow the requirements that whomever is giving away their wolf has put up. Some people may be strict, some might not be. Each up-for-adoption wolf must include his/her bio for adoption! You may also have people pay their gold for wolves.
★ Character creation. To create a character, you must at least include the following (please add more as you wish):
name/nicknames. Your character's full name, and, if any, nickname. Last names are preferred but not required.
gender. Is your character female or male?
age. How old is your wolf? Our wolves live a normal lifespan. Please don't give your wolf a ridiculously old age without permission. Any character under 2 years of age is considered young; 2-4 years is a young adult (breeding is allowed but unusual for this age); 5+ years is considered a fully matured adult (old enough to breed).
mate. If your wolf has a mate, please include him/her.
kin. Who is your wolf related to? Family tree images allowed.
pack. Your wolf's pack. If packless, please tell so.
rank. Your wolf's rank. Read the hierarchy section for more information.
personality. Your wolf's personality. 6 sentences minimum.
appearance. Your wolf's looks. 6 sentences minimum.
history. Your wolf's past. Optional. 6 sentences minimum.
